A beautiful bicycle themed wedding for this fun pair at the Yorkshire Wedding Barn!
Working with Christine Wilson
A selection of images from the lovely Mr and Mrs Clampin’s wedding last year, set in the visually stunning and serene venue and grounds of Capheaton Hall, in Northumberland.
There were so many beautiful touches to this wedding, from the vintage decor in the teepees used for the reception, to Roxane’s beautiful vintage dress and subtly bohemian styled tousled hair, the sophisticated colours of the flowers, bridesmaid dresses and suits and her fun and original choice of entrance to their outdoor ceremony, on a retro, light blue rickshaw, which I think really helped break the ice for everyone as it had Roxane and her father and friends giggling away on their arrival and James smiling facing the other way, trying his hardest not to steal a look!
The weather held out throughout the day until a dashing of light rain when it was time to whisk James and Roxane away for photos together, but that only added to the atmosphere of the images we caught whilst walking around the fields, woods and ruins on the grounds together. A real sense of closeness and camaraderie between these families and friends made for lots of lovely emotional moments and reception fun for us to capture, when everyone let their hair down for a good dance!
Thank you for choosing us James and Roxane😀
Working with the wonderful Christine Wilson as my second shooter, thank you Chris!
Ah this wedding was a hoot🙂
Such a happy, laidback, close family, a pleasure to meet and work with on the day😀 A homely, true Yorkshire wedding, set in Emma and Dave’s own garden up in Askrigg in the Dales, Emma and Dave were wed at their local church and had photographs taken up on the moors behind their house.
Lots of smiles and emotions through the day and our fun hike up on the moorlands to get shots made this a really touching and memorable wedding to be a part of.
Thank you Emma and Dave! For choosing us for your photography!

Hello and Happy New Year!
It’s January and time to catch up on blogging and prepare for a busy and exciting 2016!
Lots of beautiful wedding posts coming this way soon, but first, something a little different… I love, love, love shooting portraits of people in wild and interesting locations, I do this a lot in my weddings and every now and then I find time for it in a portraiture project such as this one- a promo shoot for Wild at Heart Yoga.
Meet my good friend Sophia! Beautiful, bloomin’ lovely and a big yoga, surf and environmental enthusiast who loves to travel.
Last Spring we travelled out to Morocco together with friends for a surf trip in Taghazout, with the intention of also shooting some promotional photos for her new yoga business whilst we were there.
Taghazout was an incredible location to work with. The colours and quirks of this town are just a photographer’s dream and any location involving the ocean gets me inspired straight away.
Sophia is adventurous, ambitious and full of great ideas (a couple of big reasons as to why I think she’s awesome!) and she is now offering an exciting opportunity this coming summer, to take part in a surf and yoga combined retreat in the beautiful and mysteriously remote location of Hoddevik in Norway- reachable mostly by boat!
Places are limited and there’s only a couple left to snatch up, so get yourselves over to http://www.wildatheartyoga.co.uk to check out the details and sign yourself up before they go🙂
I’ll be attending as Sophia’s official photographer to document the experience and I can not wait!
So if you’re looking for adventure, travel, surfing and blissful yoga on the beach all rolled into one- you know who to call. I hope I look this good doing a handstand after getting some yoga tips from Soph whilst we are out there!
So that’s http://www.wildatheartyoga.co.uk for more details and maybe I’ll get to see and photograph you out there this summer!😀
Thanks for reading!
A stunning wedding in the beginnings of Summer for Ruth and Steve at the Yorkshire Wedding Barn!
We were treated to the sunny yellow of the rape-seed fields in full bloom, blue skies and even a glimpse of the golden sunset at the end of the day!
Glastonbury fans Ruth and Steve arrived in style at the barn in Geoffrey! A handsome blue VW camper van who I fell in love with myself😀 A beautiful day for a beautiful family.
Thank you Ruth and Steve for choosing us for your photography and thank you to my fabulous second shooter Christine who worked alongside me in shooting all the celebrations.
